The GS has two coils – each with two leads to the plugs.  Measure the primary resistance – it will probably be around 3 ohms – in which case, two Screamin’ Eagle Harley dual plug coils will do the trick nicely.  They put out 40k v and retail for $60 each but can be had from discounters for around $40.  They will provide vastly superior spark to the stock coils and are an excellent value.  You will probably have to improvise a mounting system – sturdy zip ties will work if you don’t feel like making your own mounting brackets.
